An introduction to playing Letter Link

Take a moment with Letter Link before moving to another game. Find every target word from the six-letter bank. Use the example below to understand a decision. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Look at what changes after your first action.

Make words from two letter sets: PLANET and STREAM. Each set uses a selected list of accepted answers.

Try a more deliberate round

After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Refer to the controls when needed.

What the game asks you to do

Find every target word from the six-letter bank. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Check the rules when you are unsure.

The steps to play

  1. Select letters in order, each tile once per word.
  2. Submit the word.
  3. Clear letters to retry.
  4. Find all displayed word lengths.

Making selections and moves

Tap letters and Submit word. On a smaller screen, keep the active part of the board within view. Contact us with the game and device if a control does not respond.

See the idea in action

PLANET makes PLANT, PLANE and PETAL. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Keep the controls nearby.

Notice this detail

Not every dictionary word is a target in this curated list. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow.
